Excited to share a presentation on ‘Introduction of Asbestos Fibers and Impact on Environment and Humans’ by Dr. Tharunkumar Thiyagarajan, M.Sc., Ph.D. and team. Thoughtfully curated and presented to a potential client at a training, this presentation landed us our first project with them.
The training session was information-packed with the sampling and analysis technique of Airborne Asbestos and insights on the harmful effects of Asbestos. The presentation elaborately discusses the history and types of asbestos, the health issues it poses and the procedures to sample and analyze the material, and national and international standards manufacturers must follow to avoid potential hazards.
Asbestos, being a group of naturally occurring minerals of fibrous silicate, is widely used in construction, manufacturing and other industries. While being a versatile mineral, it still poses health threats to humans and the environment.
