Introduction
Plants are producer part of food chain and having capability to synthesize various chemical compounds that are necessary to perform various physiological functions like metabolic,defence system against parasites, fungus, bacteria, herbivorous animals, insects and predators. Approximately 12,000 chemical compounds are listed, which have been isolated but that is less than 10% of total chemicals present in plants.These chemical compounds have meditate their effects on humans without leaving any side effects. Recently, considerable interest have been developed in medicinal plants and integrating their use into modern medical systems because phytochemicals extracted from plants are totally natural and having significant pharmacological properties due to presence of various phytochemicals like tannins, natural steroids, flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides, amino acids, polyphenols etc.
