Non-destrictive Testing

Introduction

Non-destructive testing is a descriptive term used for the examination of materials and components in such a way that allows materials to be examined without changing or destroying their usefulness. NDT or NDE can be used to find, size and locate surface and subsurface flaws and defects. When The structure is constructed then the next step is to determine the stability of the building & fly over etc constructed that can be determined by the Non-destructive testing

Our Services

a) Rebound Hammer Tests- For measure of compressive strength of concrete. Rebound Hammer test is a Non-destructive testing method of concrete which provide a convenient and rapid indication of the compressive strength of the concrete. The rebound hammer is also called as Schmidt hammer that consist of a spring controlled mass that slides on a plunger within a tubular housing

b) Core Cutting Tests – Core cutting is used to examine the depth & grade of concrete.

c) Ultrasonic testing – The ultrasonic pulse velocity test is an in-situ, non destructive test to check the quality of concrete and natural rocks. In this test, the strength and quality of concrete or rock is assessed by measuring the velocity of an ultrasonic pulse passing through a concrete structure or natural rock formation.

d) Carbonation test & Concrete Resistivity Test- Carbonation of concrete is associated with the corrosion of steel reinforcement and with shrinkage

e) Ferro Scanner – Reinforcement spacing and diameter of the bar.

f) Bridge Load test – Bridge load Test is used to verify the load carrying capacity of the bridge of which it is designed for. In this we apply the load and corresponding to that total settlement is examined. It is used To check the load carrying capacity of the Bridge.Non-destructive load testing is an effective approach to measure the structural response of a bridge under various loading conditions and to determine its structural integrity. … This load-test program integrates optical surveying systems, a sensor network embedded in bridge decks, and surface deflection analysis.

g) Pile integrity Test – Pile integrity test is use to determine the length of the pile and defect in the pile. A pile is a slender element cast in the ground or driven into it. Since pile construction as well as the final product are mostly invisible, engineers have often questioned their integrity, i.e. their compliance with project drawings and specifications. In fact, experience [1] has shown that in piles of all kinds flaws may occur. The purpose of integrity testing is to discover such flaws before they can cause any damage.

h) Bump Integrity & BBD test of Road. – Road quality / undulation. This test is used to check the riding quality of the road surface. Bump Integrator test conducted with the fifth wheel.
